In March 2009, we went to visit Nick, and rode the Texas State Railroad. I took my camera,
movie camera, computer, and this is all you get to see! Apologies, I will take more pics next time.

We rode from Rusk to Palestine in the combine car. It has climate control and that was a good thing that day.

On the way back, Nick had gotten locomotive passes in #201 for him and me.

Looking back at the train looking back at us on the way back.
I shot a few seconds of video:

Back at Rusk, Nick showed us what they have been working on...Rolling and flaring new tubes in the boiler of #300.
All the small ones are in, super heater tubes are next. Then drop the drive axles and turn the wheels............
Just like in 7-1/2" gauge, except a little bit heavier.

Nick, posing with #300. Hopefully in June or so, she'll be up and running.
