If you ever had the wish to sit in the cab and operate a locomotive , be a switchman, brakeman or conductor of a train, large scale railroading is for you. If you enjoy operating a locomotive or a piece of rolling stock , large scale railroading is for you. Large Scale Railroading allows you to become involved with your train rather than watch it on a table. This is the closest you get to the operational experience without actually crawling into the cab of the full size boys.

Southwestern Live Steamers is a non-profit corporation to educate and promote the modeling and operation of live steam locomotives , steam equipment , and rail equipment of all types.

Southwestern Live Steamers operates on private 7 1/2 " gauge tracks throughout Texas and Oklahoma a current meet schedule is availible.
