June in Houston may not compare with April in Paris, but the heat and humidity didn’t keep the trains from rolling! The tropical storm that had brought so much flooding to the Houston area had mostly missed Katy, so that Dr. Bing’s track was not flooded. Those in attendance were able to enjoy railroading on a mostly shaded track. Dr. Bing kept busy Saturday, first grilling hotdogs and hamburgers for everyone’s lunch and later he and wife Kelly put on a full steak dinner, complete with garlic bread, baked potatoes, and a wonderful salad and finished with sliced watermelons.
